Election Night Ziti Dinner Recap

Geneva, N.Y. – On Tuesday, November 3, 2015, the Kiwanis Club of Geneva held its annual Election Night Ziti Dinner and bake sale in conjunction with Cozy Days Christen Preschool. The event was hosted at the Geneva Community Center, and children participating in after school programs through the Boys and Girls Club volunteered to help setup and prepare dinners.

Both dine-in and takeout options were available, and many patrons enjoyed their meals at the Community Center while catching up with friends and neighbors after voting. Dinners included ziti, meatballs and sauce, salad and dressing, bread and butter, and a drink.

In addition to the meals sold, the Kiwanis Club and Cozy Days were able to prepare and serve approximately 50 dinners to the Boys and Girls Club children and staff members for no charge.  Leftovers, including salad, ziti and sauce, and baked goods were also donated to the Boys and Girls Club.

Proceeds from the event will be applied to Kiwanis initiatives and the construction of a new playground at Cozy Days.
